Upside Down is an upcoming original Fanfic Channel series, created by Aaron Moon and executive produced by Axel Torres. It was announced during the Fanfic Channel Upfront and is scheduled for premiere in Winter 2015. Fanfic Channel has ordered a 24 episodes for the series, which will carry a TV-14 rating. It is scheduled to air on Sundays, at 8PM ET/PT.

On January 31, 2015, Fanfic Channel announced that it has reduced the episode order from 24 episodes to 16. On February 22, 2015, it was announced that the series will premiere on March 1, 2015. The series premiered with 9.82 million US viewers.

Premise[]

Upside Down follows the story of Blake Blackwell, whose life turns upside down after his father, Theodore Blackwell, became the President. Blake tries his best to fit in to his new college where he starts his journey to making what he can call his real friends. Blake and his new found friends navigate through college as well as have fun while keeping his reputation and his fathers' intact.

The series was first pitched to AV Channel on November 2014 by Aaron Moon. It was taken into consideration and was greenlit to film the pilot, when The Fanfic Network cancelled the launch of the channel. AV Channel was then dissolved, leaving the lined up shows on the shelves. The series was then shifted to Fanfic Channel, along with two more which is still under consideration.

Casting[]

The series has yet to start casting. Creator, Aaron Moon, has confirmed that the series will be the last to premiere during the Winter 2015 Lineup Premiere. The role of Blake Blackwell has been offered to numerous actors including Jack Griffo, Dylan O'Brien and James Gaisford, but no one has yet to be confirmed.

On January 7, 2015, Aaron Moon confirmed that the role of Blake Blackwell will be played by Jimmy Deshler.

Filming[]

Filming will take place on location in California. The Whitehouse set will be shot in a soundstage studio, while University of California Los Angeles will be a stand in for a private college in the series. The series also takes place in numerous locations around the country, but filming will remain local. Aaron Moon also confirmed that one entire episode will be shot inside an airplane.
